History
Lublin University of Technology was established as Evening Engineering School in May 1953 on initiative of Lublin technical societies.
The first faculty, which began its activity in 1953, was Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
In 1963/64 Electrical Engineering Faculty was established and in 1964 specialisation of Industry Electrical Engineering was added to it.
Education
Over the past 50 years over 30,000 graduates left the University. Graduates can receive the degree of Engineer or Master of Engineering, and the academic degree of Doctor of Academic Sciences. Since 1994 LUT graduates may apply for the title of "European Engineer" offered by the Federation of the European Associations of Engineers.
Career
Graduates of Computer Science who wish to study in English and plan their future career in IT firms, especially in software development departments.

Best Global Universities Rankings by U.S. News & World Report presents all the top universities from the U.S. and 60 other countries around the world. They measure the rate of students going to their second year of studies, as well as the rate of students who graduate. It also asks university representatives on the performance of universities, and evaluates university resources, teacher salaries, graduation rates, student academic achievements and satisfaction. After calculating and comparing these criteria, U.S. News ranks the top international universities accordingly.
Housing services
LUT offers accommodation in Students’ Dormitories. Due to the big number of students at LUT, the university offers triple rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen on the floor.
Library services
The Library provides a fully comprehensive service for students. The main aim of our Library is to efficiently support the process of studying, scientific research and professional undertakings for which technical literature is necessary. This is why the Library offers numerous academic textbooks, monographs and reference sources in science and engineering.
ICT services
LUT has a wide range of computer facilities available to all students. All the University's micros are linked into the main computer system.
The students who have already handed in the certificates of arrival to International Exchange Office may receive their eduroam passwords and logins at IEO.
Sports facilities
From doing sports to clubbing and sunbathing on a beach, Lublin offers an abundance of possibilities to relax actively or simply chill out. There is a great variety of sport clubs, swimming pools, green and recreational zones, games rooms, workshops, pubs, nightclubs and numerous other institutions and facilities which will help you never get bored in Lublin.

With a wide range of student organizations, LUT provides the opportunities for students to get involved and develop their skills or discover hidden talents. Whether you are interested in performing arts and sports or intend to expand your knowledge in your free time, Lublin University of Technology has something for you.
Accreditation
Since 1999, as the Accredited Examination Centre of LCCI IQ from EDI (London Chamber of Commerce and Industry International Qualifications from Education Development International), we have been providing professional English examinations.
In 2013 DFL became the first Accredited Examination Centre of MONDIALE Testing in Poland obtaining rights to run MONDIALE Technical English examinations.
Since 2006, as the Accredited Examination Centre of ETS (Educational Testing Service, Princeton, USA), we have been conducting the following certification examinations:
- English: TOEFL®, TOEFL® Junior, TOEIC® Listening and Reading, TOEIC® Speaking and Writing, TOEIC Bridge TM,
- German: WiDaF®, WiDaF Basic®
- French: TFI TM.
