Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts was established in 1946. Its fundamental values have been developed throughout the decades of its existence, which unite several generations of students and professors and distinguish its exclusive role in preservation and development of Armenian culture.
YSAFA offers a three-year researcher programme, which is equivalent to PhD, and is placed on the 8thlevel of the National Qualifications Framework. The programme is offered on full time and distance basis. The programmes at researcher level evolve around Fine Arts, Decorative and Applied Arts, Design. Upon the defence of the dissertation a degree of a Candidate in Arts Studies is awarded.

my study experience for now is quite good, by the way, id like to mention that i chose the american university in armenia because it left me no other choices, in fact, i study at yerevan state university which wasnt found in the list, and my university is a normal one, but i believe it could do better
You learn academic drawing and painting, as well as graphic techniques , such as linocut,woodcut etc. You get an understanding about art history as well as some skills in illustration.
My overall study experience at this university is that the university where i am not is a place that base on challenges. Without preparing yourself you can be strong to go through it The major thing that work is making a grades that i good .And thing that does not work is allowing people paying for grades. You must study to earn your own grades
