The university was founded in 1928 and was named the “Institute of communication”. This institute was merged with eight other institutes in 1979 to form a university complex known as K. N. Toosi University of technology.With more than 300 full-time faculty members and 7200 students, K. N. Toosi is ranked one of the highest instructor to student ratios in Iran.

It was amazing for me to be in the university and talk to professors and students Expanding the communication network, new knowledge and methods of examining issues and looking at issues have been my most useful achievements

It started during the covid pandemic. the university used adobe connect for meetings which is a bit outdated. but I started university with well educated professors. But afterwards, it was a downward spiral. Professors couldn't explain concepts. Courses became more and more disconnected from real world. But if you played by the rules of the KNTU system, you could still get good grades. Although you wasted those years for studying subjects that you hated and were outdated by many top universities.

The university is in charge of the supplying and providing information in science and technology to support lectures and researchers at the departments has 5 branches one in each department purchasing and preparing of the book periodicals and offers documents are performed by central library for all library branches .
Computer center of the K. N. Toosi University of Technology provides the facilities (Internet service, mail service, ...) for all of the university members in support of their teaching, research, and administrative activities and to students in support of their respective academic objectives and requirements.
There are currently eleven faculties within the university which are located in five different campuses spread across Tehran.
