They measure the rate of students going to their second year of studies, as well as the rate of students who graduate. It also asks university representatives on the performance of universities, and evaluates university resources, teacher salaries, graduation rates, student academic achievements and satisfaction. After calculating and comparing these criteria, U.S. News ranks the top international universities accordingly.

The OIS opens various foreign language courses to provide Chungbuk National University students and local citizens with strong foreign language communication ability.
Housing services
The CBNU Residence Halls are located in three different areas and each is comprised of 2~4 separate buildings, with beautiful trees and fully-furnished rooms to make your experience the best possible!
Library services
The Library Collection contains over 990,000 volumes. It holds more than 850,000 books, 140,000 thesises submitted for degrees, and 4,840 nonbook materials of other educational media in support of research and academic activities of the University. Also, the Library has 1,477 print academic journals and 33,514 electronic journals and WebDB.

Campus life
Chungbuk National University campus located close to the Sejong Government Complex, Osong Biovalley, Innopolis Daedeok, and the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex, it is also a short distance away from Osong (Cheongju) station on the KTX line and the Cheongju International Airport, allowing easy access.
