The Politecnico di Bari is an Italian public university founded in 1990, when the well-established Faculty of Engineering and the newly-founded Faculty of Architecture, which at that time were both part of the University of Bari, were brought together. Later the Second Faculty of Engineering was created in Taranto.
The Politecnico di Bari now offers a wide range of study opportunities, consisting in eight First Level Degree courses, eleven Second Level Degree courses and two Five-Year Second Level Degree courses, along with many Postgraduate courses and Ph.D.’s.
The research activities, both basic and applied, are organized in the Departments and Research Centres of the University. Particular attention is devoted to basic research, which is essential not only for the evolution of scientific thought but also for the ability, over time, to affect deeply the reality.
With the applied research devoted to the study of topics in greater operational value or more direct interest to organizations and businesses, instead pursues the objective of updating and give scientific content management activities of companies and institutions.
Outgoing Orientation (Placement):
Outgoing Orientation focuses on graduating and/or graduate students, who will be offered advice about job opportunities and recruitment. Therefore, the Politecnico acts as an intermediary between job search and offer.
In order to optimise this placement activities, the Politecnico organises Career Days, Recruiting Days and Job Meetings where companies introduce themselves and their open positions so that most talented students can have access to the labour market.
