History
The University of Liberia was founded in 1862 as Liberia College and became a full University in 1951. It is a public institution funded mainly by the Government of Liberia. The University now has four campuses: Capitol Hill, Fendall, Medical School Fendall, and Starz-Sinji campus located in Sinji, Grand Cape Mount County.
Education
The effects on the larger society of the resulting favorable terms of trade monetized a hitherto barter economy, leading to phenomenal public sector growth. That growth resulted in higher demand in the public sector for managerial and technical labor. Further, the need for capacity in the technical positions established in the new sectors caused the Liberian Government to appreciate the need for higher education through a national university

The challenges faced at the University of Liberia
It all started in a very good manner when i got my admission to do my undergriduate study in Public Health at the University but things became a bit harder as time went back maintaining myself at the state run university lot of challenges came in ranging from transportation to paying tuition at the university i am a person that came from a low economic back ground, a family of six siblings at point of time i have to drop out of school venturing into local business to take care or contribute to family warefars and schooling that was from my family challenge from the academic aspect obtaining the requisite study materials was challenging i have to go aroung other peers to achieve that however be it my study at the University wass a success completing my long term goal, the friends, and lot of other good instructors who help me through.

It's not bad and the lessons are good. I encountered new friends every lessons day and the classroom is beautiful.
