The university is really good. All of the professors are very nice and helpful. There's a wide range of study fields. you feel very welcome from the beginning on when you need help there's every time someone who can help you and the web pages from the University are also very helpful with it.
Very good university with great professors
Really enjoyable, was difficult at the start but it's a really fair environment where your hardwork makes you stand out
Good :)
I´d say studying at THWS was good. Würzburg is a great student city in germany and has a lot to offer while still being quite affordable. The university was okay. We only had a few professors who held really good lectures. What I liked most about the university were the opportunitys to go abroad to study. Furthermore I liked that you could choose several different languages to learn. All in all good experience.
Student services
The EveryBuddy Programme wants to bring students from different cultures together. International as well as German students are appreciated! Through the EveryBuddy Programme, the Welcome Team wants to unite students from different semesters. Students of higher semesters help new students as "Welcome Buddies" at the beginning of their studies.
Housing services
The Studentenwerk offers accommodation in halls of residence in both Würzburg and Schweinfurt. Students are responsible for applying for a room themselves.
Some halls of residence have set application deadlines and you will need to apply online. Please note that the halls of residence will not be able to offer/guarantee you a room if you apply after the application deadline. Moreover, you will have around just five days to accept or decline the accommodation after you receive an offer. If you do not reply during this time, the next person on the waiting list will be offered the room.
Library services
The Library of THWS is one of the supporting units and fulfils its tasks on the two locations Würzburg and Schweinfurt. The library facilities are in general available to any interested person.
Campus life
Since 1971 THWS is located in Würzburg and Schweinfurt, two cities in the administrative district of Lower Franconia, a district in the northern part of the Free State of Bavaria. From here, it is not far to major German cities such as Munich and Frankfurt am Main, all of which have an international airport. European neighbours such as Austria, Czech Republic, France, Poland, and Switzerland are all just a short distance away.
Sports facilities
THWS helps students with an outstanding athletic performance in the A-, B- or C-class (German classfication system for students, who are sponsored by sports associations) combine their studies and high performance sports. Students can, e.g., request a semester on leave of absence as "tournament semester". Moreover, students will be accommodated in case exam dates collide with tournaments or in case regular attendance at a seminar is not possible.
