History

The UA traces its roots back to 1988, when the start of the Faculty of Law (FdR) marked the beginning of the UA’s academic growth. In 1993, the Faculty for Accounting, Finance and Marketing (FEF) started which is now the largest faculty of the UA, followed by the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management Studies (FHTMS) in 2005.

Student services

  • The Office of Student Affairs (OSA) is one of the offices of the University of Aruba that supports students to assume roles of leadership in a fast changing society.
  • The student council of the University of Aruba or Studentenraad van de UA has been a dream initiated by SUA in establishment, which became reality on the 16th of November 2012; when the first official board was elected. The board consists of representative of each faculty, which the students themselves had the opportunity to vote for the one that will best represent their faculty.
