History

Founded in 1958, Jiangxi University of Science and Technology (JUST) features distinctive disciplines and a balanced curriculum of science, engineering, materials, computer, economics, management, arts and law. Being a research-intensive public university with high teaching quality.

Education

JUST now offers a wide range of courses, including 63 undergraduate programs, 84 master programs and 1 PhD program. JUST is entitled to enroll students outside of Chinese Mainland.

JUST has established a set of highly competitive undergraduate and graduate programs, including Mining Engineering, metallurgical engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Material Engineering, Technology and Economic Management. The research capability and facility in the fields of tungsten, copper, rare earth and lithium battery is currently in the leading position in China.

Research

With around 2,000 staff, JUST has a top quality teaching and R&D staff represented by nationally renowned educators as well as very competitive scientific research teams based in many state-level key laboratories and engineering and technological research centers.

pursuing academic success

My overall experience at the university was wonderful , knowledgeable and exciting . I was able to learn so much in relation to my major as well the culture and tradition of china which includes the Mandarin language which I'm currently fluent at. I will graduate with a bachelor's degree in June 2022 . The only thing I can think of that doesn't work well was the exposure to some certain things .

Student services

Students Union

Students Union consists of 13 departments, including propaganda, learning department, research department, recreation department, sport department, women department, practice Department, liaison department of Science and Technology, community associations, students rights protection service center, a university student information center

Housing services

The campus supports students with 2 student canteen buildings, offering all kinds of food, satisfying the needs of students. There is an on-campus supermarket at the gate of campus.

In addition, students have optional access to Supermarket and many restaurants of delicious cuisines in the nearby. Guo Guang Supermarket is a large shopping mall, located at No. 68, Hong Qi Road.

Library services

With a total floor space of 35,300m2, the library now has a collection of 1.4 million books, among which 1.2 million are Chinese books, 13,000 are foreign books. The library also boasts thousands of journals, including 7000 foreign journals, 1 millions e-books, 10,000 doctoral and master papers.

Medical services

Medical Center: located next to the canteen of the north extent on campus.

Ganzhou People’s hospital, located in No.17 of Hongqi Road, provides full-range of health care.

Campus life

JUST has 3 campuses in Ganzhou and a campus in Nanchang. It covers more than 200 acres with an overall structural area of over 800,000 square meters. The four beautiful campuses are like tranquil and elegant parks allowing our students to study free of worry and earthly affairs.

Youth League Jiangxi University of Science and Technology Committee

There are 25 associations in Jiangxi University of Science and Technology, including College Students News Center, Painting and Calligraphy Association, Photographic Association, the "three C" English space, Qingjiang Literary Club, Science and Technology Association, the Law Society, Speech Association, the Accounting Association, Music Association, the Economic Research Association, Fitness Association, chess associations, tutoring center, Computer Society, robotics Association, the Electronics Association, Philatelic Association, the National Basketball Association, college students Psychological Association.

Accreditation

Much progress has been made in recent years in JUST’s international affairs. The University was recognized in 1994 by the Education Commission of Jiangxi for its “outstanding work for drawing talented teachers.” From 1998 up to the present, 85 long- or short-term foreign experts and teachers have been engaged to work at the University, three of whom won the “Lushan Award” granted by Jiangxi Provincial Government to recognize their outstanding work.
