History
Erciyes University was established under the name of Kayseri University in 1978. Gevher Nesibe Faculty of Medicine was established as an affiliate of Hacettepe University in 1969, and Kayseri Faculty of Business was established in 1977; these two academic units formed the core of the Kayseri University.

Housing services
Foreign students can accommodate in private dormitories or rented houses. All fees are fixed by the Turkish Lira. Regardless of their nationality, all foreign students pay the same fee as the Turkish students. Besides, most dormitories in Kayseri is divided into two parts as boys and girls dormitories.
The Faculty of Tourism Application Hotel is located on the main campus and it is easy to access the different shopping centers, businesses, sightseeing excursions and entertainment areas.
Library services
The library collection has been classified according to the Library of Congress (LC) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM) classification system and services are provided according to the open shelf system.
ICT services
Free wireless internet service is offered to our university students and staff within the campus. You can connect with your e-mail and password to benefit from this service.
Medical services
All international students studying in Turkey can benefit from the ‘general health insurance’. When you benefit from the general health insurance, you can benefit from all the public hospitals free of charge and from private hospitals by paying a small share of the contribution.

- Kayseri is a major transport nexus for the region and the public transportation system in Kayseri is quite modern.
- Seyrani Campus, just 6km south of Mt. Erciyes, has an area of having a 225.000 m2 area in Develi District, was established 6 km south of Mount Erciyes.
- Tomarza campus of the University has a 5000 m2 area. 1 vocational college is located within the campus.

First of all I have to say that we are really lucky students to be here. Because our university has many opportunities for students who want to learn new things and improve themselves. For example, our university is a research university. To give an example, we have many laboratories, we have a lot of places for sport or social activities we have a really good campus also...

Teachers should definitely be changed at school. In the new model, teachers should come. Young teachers who keep up with the developing age are needed.
