Founded in Sofia in 2008, HRC Culinary Academy has trained over 1,000 students from 40+ countries. Built on a vision to bridge education with real industry experience, HRC has grown into an international culinary institution, expanding its academic offering with the Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Culinary Management, delivered in partnership with the University of Food Technologies, Plovdiv.
The Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Culinary Management combines culinary arts, food science, technology, innovation and business management in one English-taught program. Years 1 and 2 take place at HRC Culinary Academy in Sofia, with extensive hands-on learning in professional kitchens and real hospitality environments. Years 3 and 4 continue at the University of Food Technologies in Plovdiv, expanding students’ expertise in food technology, quality, management, tourism and innovation. The program prepares graduates to bridge science, creativity and business in the global food and hospitality industry.
Career preparation is central to education at HRC. Hands-on training and paid international internship opportunities allow students to gain professional experience while developing their industry network.
Graduates are prepared for careers across culinary arts, restaurant and F&B management, hospitality, food production, culinary innovation, tourism and entrepreneurship. HRC alumni have developed careers in leading restaurants and hospitality businesses worldwide.

HRC culinary academy is a good culinary school in Europe with good facilities and instructors. Even during my program we had to face the pandemic but the school still managed it pretty well.

HRC’s team, based in Sofia, supports students throughout their educational journey, from application and enrolment to their studies. International applicants receive guidance throughout the admissions process and general guidance on visa procedures. Students also receive support in preparing for their internships.
Located next to the academy, Kitchen 59 offers a modern student living experience designed around comfort, convenience and community. Students enjoy fully furnished rooms with private bathrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, dedicated study and relaxation spaces, a professionally equipped shared kitchen, laundry facilities, a workout area and access to the rooftop swimming pool.
HRC’s training facility includes a dedicated culinary library supporting classroom education and practical learning. Students can use its resources for independent study, assignments, culinary research and professional development alongside their hands-on training.
Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the academy and in student accommodation. The Organisation does not provide dedicated IT support.
Dedicated healthcare facilities are not located on the HRC campus. Students have access to external healthcare services in Sofia.
Our Campus – Kitchen 59 is a special home for students from all over the world, offering a modern, creative, and delicious environment, from fully furnished rooms, shared study and relax areas to a professionally equipped common kitchen with a dining area. Wi-fi, utility bills, monthly cleaning, and linen change – it is all included!
