The history of CAU began with the establishment of Chung-Ang Kindergarten as an annex to Chung-Ang Methodist Church at Insa-Dong, Seoul in April 1918.

This residential building is surrounded by a small natural forested environment. The building is equipped with the state of the art air conditioning and heating system, wireless high speed internet access, a large dining area, fitness center, cafe and a lounge.
The Central Library at Seoul (about 11,570 m²) houses 1,000,000 books and 4,000 different domestic and overseas periodicals. It features a variety of facilities, such as 2,000-seat study halls, online-information rooms, and audio-visual centers.
Every building has a study room, a computer room, a seminar room, and a lounge, and there is free Internet access in each room. Also, there is a fitness room and a lounge equipped with computers with Internet connection, a free photocopier, and a refrigerator at the Student Welfare Center.
The theater Cine-house, equipped with a 200-inch screen and sound facilities, is open for presentations and performances during the week and shows movies on weekends. Also, there is a driving range, a tennis court, a convenience store, an optical store, and a cosmetics store.
