University of Arts Poznan

On 11 September 1919, a project to open Szkola Sztuk Zdobniczych /the School of Decorative Art/ in Poznan was officially approved. The school was opened on 1 November that year, 10 days before the proclamation of Poland’s independence.

The educational services offered by the University of Arts in Pozna´n have been broadened to include full-time English-language studies, both undergraduate and graduate. Applicants can choose between the fields of study concerning not only fine arts (painting, drawing, sculpture, graphic arts, photography, and intermedia), but also applied arts (design, stage design, interior design, and graphic design). So far the UAP offer has attracted young artists from the USA, South Korea, Mexico, Japan, Brazil and other countries.
