Housing services
Riversdown House is a manor house originally dating from 1328. It is located in the beautiful rolling hills of Jane Austen Country, the landscape that inspired her so much, and is only 20 minutes by car (14 miles) away from Chawton. From 1814 onwards, the owner of Riversdown was Penelope Lutley Sclater, who was not only a previous neighbour and acquaintance but also one of the small circle of people personally asked by Jane Austen to review her books, in this case Emma.
Accreditation
Riversdown House is accredited by the British Council, which offers you an extra, independent assurance of the quality of both your training and the learning environment.
