Following internationalisation programme, the number of international students continues to increase. Apart from the fact that we have dual-degree programme with a number of renown universities in the world, we also admit international students through various programmes for various projects. This creates the learning setting at UGM to have Indonesian as well as international atmosphere.With the rich variety of disciplines being offered at UGM, students will have an extensive and varied range of choices. This will also provide opportunities for students to enrich knowledge, research experience and interdisciplinary approach at Universitas Gadjah Mada.Also, researchers, lecturers, industry and other institutions that wish to have collaborations with UGM find the rich variety of disciplines at UGM. In addition to the more than 200 study programmes, UGM has over 25 centres of studies. Our wide range of collaboration experiences with similar education institutions, research institutes, government agencies, NGOs and inudstry has enabled us to facilitate intensive collaborations.The comfort and facility support within the campus is supported by conducive campus environment. Located in Yogyakarta which is the city of education rich in history and cultural heritage, students and researchers as well as guest lecturers will also gain knowledge and experience enrichment. The international research acknowledgement is shown by the WHO's adoption of handling protocol for children with diarrhea in hospital proposed by lecturers of the Medical Faculty, UGM, as well as by UNDP's adoption of methods of handling social conflicts. Many joint researches have been done by UGM researchers in collaboration with researchers from prominent universities in the world for biomedical sciences and social humanities subjects respectively.
