History
- The Université de Sherbrooke has been welcoming international students ever since it was founded and each year the numbers increase.
- Currently, more than 1600 foreign students from 120 countries worldwide attend the Université de Sherbrooke. More than 85% of the students enrolled at the Université are from outside Sherbrooke.
Education
The Université de Sherbrooke now offers:
- a dual-diploma program that includes a Master’s degree in Administration with a concentration in International Management, a concentration in Management and Sustainable Development and a concentration in Public Management;
- a study term or a work term outside Quebec in the Master’s degree in Administration with a concentration in Public Management, in the Master’s degree in Environment without thesis, in the Graduate Diploma in International Ecology, and in the Master’s degree in Biology with a concentration without thesis in International Ecology;
- study programs with the possibility of a study tour outside Quebec.

Housing services
- It is essential that you begin looking for housing as soon as you are admitted to the Université de Sherbrooke. This is your responsibility.
- Compared to other North-American cities, Sherbrooke offers several types of housing at lower costs. However, most being already occupied, make sure you have housing before your arrival in Quebec.
- You can live either on campus, in residences, or find accommodation off campus.
Campus life
- Truly a university village unto itself, the Main Sherbrooke Campus is composed of over thirty buildings, most of which are linked through a network of underground pedestrian tunnels.
- This campus brings together university management offices and seven of the university’s eight faculties: Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Letters and Humanities, Sciences, as well as Sports and Physical Education.
Sports facilities
- Some 100 physical and sports activities
- Possibility to practise several activities individually (swimming, jogging, tennis, badminton, squash, racquet-ball) or to register in coached activities such as swimming and fitness training, from beginners to advanced, or on intramural teams
- Sports installations of superior quality including a 50 m double swimming pool, double gymnasium, interior and exterior track and field stadiums as well as several specialized rooms: weight room, squash, American football, climbing wall, dojo, etc.
- An inter-university agreement providing access to several other university sports centres in Quebec.
Student clubs
- On campus, several international student associations have developed over the years. These associations promote the integration of new students into university life.
- They also offer students an excellent place to socialize and obtain information about university life in Sherbrooke.
