The University of Cape Coast is one of the rare sea front universities in the world. It was established in October, 1962 as a University College and placed in a special relationship with the University of Ghana, Legon.

Beyond lectures: Diverse experiences, practical skills
I'm introduced to different disciplines and courses which are interconnected with each other as well as hands on practicals in advanced research laboratories, real life case studies that would prepare me for the outside world. Not only that, the school also organizes seminars and consultative meetings where students share their needs, complains and worries so that a solution will be arrived at. The school also talks that has actually helped me a lot in building my confidence. Not to talk of the design thinking hub, which is a club headed by an experienced lecturer, which aids any student who has a business idea, incubate it and helps bring it to life thereby creating opportunities for job seekers. This type of school environment has equipped me with knowledge and skill set that has helped me understand the world better. This university made me understand that something little or insignificant can become great or significant. Thank you University of Cape Coast for the experience.

Student services
The University of Cape Coast has several services available to postgraduate students. These are available from a variety of sources including the Government, the University, and Private sources. They include accommodation, library, healthcare, international students support, counseling and scholarships/financial aid. There are other facilities for recreational and sporting activities.
Housing services
The University of Cape Coast has a general policy of providing accommodation for all undergraduate freshmen. Your admission will therefore come with a Hall of affiliation and the required fee for your accommodation. After the first year, students are not guaranteed accommodation in the University’s Halls of Residence. However, there are several private hostels within walking distances from the university. You are therefore encouraged to make arrangements to rent one of those after your first year.
