The aim of the establishment and operation of the University of the Peloponnese is the creative contribution to the development of higher education in the Greek region, with high quality standards corresponding to the content of studies, research and teaching in the requirements of a modern University with national, European and international scope.

About

History

The University of the Peloponnese was established in 2000 and accepted its first students in 2002 with the beginning of operations of the Department of Computer Science and Technology and the Department of Telecommunication Science and Technology of the School of Science and Technology. It has its headquarters in Tripoli.

Education

It offers studies in all cycles of learning: undergraduate, postgraduate and Doctoral as well as Life Long Learning activities.

Research

The University of the Peloponnese exploits the potentials offered by the existing legislation to encourage the scientific and research activity of teaching staff with the aim of strengthening the link between education and research.

In this context, the research policy of the University of the Peloponnese follows the process accordingly:

  • Exploring potential in participation of teaching staff in research programs.
  • Formation of research teams and Research Networks at national and international level.
  • Establishment of Research Laboratories.

Career

The main objective of the Career Office is to facilitate the entry and stay of young people in the modern and competitive educational and professional world environment.

On this basis, it supports young people to:

  • to manage and plan their educational and professional career
  • to lead to a conscious and effortless personal choice of subject and study
  • to develop at every level staff, professional and social.

Im extremely satisfied from the teachers of the university . The facilities though lack space and there are classes that are under equiped . There is an exception for the biomechanics class . There is a lot of work being done for equiping the university from the teachers and the rectory
