About

History

The Engineering Institute of Technology has emerged from its founding organisation, IDC Technologies, which is an international provider of practical, technical training. Since its conception in 1991, five hundred thousand engineers, technicians and technologists have been trained globally.

Education

All of our programs are offered online, while our four bachelor degrees and our Master of Engineering (Industrial Automation) are also presented on-campus.

Services

Student services

Remote and on-campus students need support, encouragement and a go-to person. Our students are supported by dedicated Learning Support Officers (LSOs) for the duration of their studies, giving them a greater chance of success. If you choose to study a diploma or advanced diploma, one person is dedicated to you for the duration of your studies. Students studying our degrees will have a committed LSO for each unit of study.

Housing services

Accommodation for international students is as varied as the requirements of the students themselves! Perth has many options available that would suit your study program.Your Western Australian educational institution will provide you with help in finding accommodation and understanding contracts such as leases and tenancy agreements.Student noticeboards and newspapers often advertise rooms, apartments and houses for rent. Some institutions also post accommodation vacancies on their website.

Library services

EIT students have access to the online EIT eLibrary containing over 160 technical manuals published by IDC Technologies covering a range of disciplines including mechanical, electrical, civil and chemical engineering as well as instrumentation, automation and process control and data communications and networking.

Campus life

EIT on-campus programs include classroom sessions, practical lab exercises, assessments, class discussions, and personal study. Additionally, our students have access to industry experts based around the globe through live and interactive online presentations. Our students have access to a personalized Learning Management System where all course materials are available 24/7.

  • EIT is authorized by the Australian Government Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) as a Higher Education Provider.
