Kempten University of Applied Sciences was established in 1978 with 82 students in a rented building. While the accession of Pope John Paul II, the first balloon crossing of the Atlantic and the last VW Beetle to be manufactured in Germany were making the national and international headlines, the breaking news in Allgäu was the new university and its ambitious target of 1.000 students.
Around 40 professors conduct research at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences together with their employees in various research institutions. Competent and application-oriented, they conduct research with creative excellence, especially for medium-sized businesses. Thanks to the interdisciplinary cooperation both internally and externally, a network of diverse expertise is created that makes innovative and sustainable contributions to solving important social challenges. There are valuable synergies and collaborations among researchers and between the university and industry.

Even though the education is good, this most certainly is a university -of applied sciences- If you want to explore your field or human understanding beyond the scope of the mandated study programme, you will find well-meaning professors but not a whole lot of opportunities to do so. Overall this is an academic professional schooling, not much more
University is very good and course also first class
It's sort of hard really you have to learn a new way of learning as you sit down in a lecture hall and you have to write down whatever the teacher says. If you need help or your slow you'll have to meet the teacher some other time. Lessons aren't exciting as well as they don't grab the people's attention so it's hard to learn and concentrate
