Odessa Medical Institute was the leading medical university in South of USSR. However, the great start of Odessa National Medical University was suspended during the war with Japan from 1905 -1907, then in World War from 1914-1918, and then during the Communist revolution of USSR.

My journey at Zaporizhzhia Medical university.
My experience studying medicine at Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University in Ukraine has been both enriching and transformative. The rigorous curriculum, combined with hands-on clinical practice, provided a comprehensive understanding of medical sciences and patient care. The faculty's dedication to teaching and mentorship fostered a supportive learning environment, encouraging critical thinking and practical skills. Additionally, the multicultural atmosphere broadened my perspectives, allowing me to connect with peers from diverse backgrounds. Overall, my time in Ukraine has equipped me with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pursue a successful career in medicine.

Housing services
Odessa National medical university has very vast space for residence of students.our university assures the residence of all foreigner students. We have dormitories and single rooms for students rooms are furnished with bed ,mattress, blanket,side table ,study table and chair there is one cupboard also.
Library services
The University’s library is one of the oldest in the country and has the book fund of a million of copies. It is an informative center, which can provide students with necessary information in the accessible form.
ICT services
WI-FI internet is provided in hostels as well
Sports facilities
The university has good conditions not only for study but also for sports and recreation. There is a sport-health complex on the Black Sea shore, where over 500 students at a time can rest in summer.The university’s Sports Complex is situated on the territory of the campus. It has six sports halls; for various games, including wrestling, table tennis, athletics, aerobics, badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, training room (gym). At the university the students can participate in more than 16 kinds of sports. The most popular are athletics, basketball, handball, tennis, weight lifting, swimming, football, fencing, mini-football, judo, unarmed combat, chess, badminton and other.
