North Island College opened its doors in 1975.

At NIC, our programs and courses are developed in partnership with employers and communities to ensure you are prepared for employment and further education here and around the world.With four campuses, one centre, and many more ways to learn in our communities, we believe everyone should be able to access quality education close to home.We offer more than 900 courses and 70 credit programs supported by a dedicated faculty, staff and administration – all working together to help you achieve your goals.

By engaging with local and global collaborators, the Centre for Applied Research, Technology and Innovation (CARTI) facilitates solutions to challenges confronting these organizations.
