History
Established in 1873 Canterbury College, as it was then known, was only the second university in Aotearoa New Zealand. It was set up on the Oxbridge model with one major difference: women students were admitted from the start.

Housing services
Canterbury College offers a unique atmosphere to students attending the University of Windsor. We have a total of 12 furnished houses/townhouses/pods that are furnished and three apartment building that offer unfurnished one-bedroom and studio apartments. All buildings are non-smoking and smoking of anykind is strickly prohibited anywhere on Canterbury College property.
Library services
The Learning Resources Centre (LRC) is situated in ‘K’ block on the first floor at Canterbury College, it is open to all staff and students of the EKC Group for their various needs. You will meet our dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly staff who will be able to help you with any queries or concerns you may have.
Canterbury College Swale Campus has been open since 1996. We offer a variety of courses in a modern and friendly learning environment and enjoy excellent rates of success.Many students have exceeded their own expectations by achieving more than they had ever hoped, whilst others have continued their studies at university or found great jobs.We offer a wide range of courses in various subject areas which have been developed to meet the needs of the whole community, from school-leavers to adults.The College is ideally situated close to the bus and railway stations in Sheerness and there is plenty of car parking for students nearby. The classrooms have been designed for flexibility and all are wired for computers and the latest educational technology. All parts of the College are wheelchair accessible.
