Learning and teaching at UWS is a responsibility of the whole university. We begin from the proposition that the whole experience counts in providing a learning environment that leads to student success. This means that everyone at UWS – including students, academic and professional staff, plays an important role in fulfilling the goals we have set for ourselves.
Our UWS Learning and Teaching Plan 2012-2014 (opens in new window)Opens in a new window ) sets out those goals and the kinds of strategies we employ to achieve them.UWS is also supporting student learning and academic staff development. The Learning and Teaching Unit (LTU) is a central unit providing a range of programs and services to enhance learning and teaching at UWS. The LTU includes the Maths Education Support Hub (MESH), the Hub for Academic Literacy and Language (HALL) and the Blended Learning Team. The LTU is charged with ensuring a university wide coordinated approach to excellence in learning and teaching.
