The first government-sponsored international students arrived at Canning College in 1982, and four years later, privately-funded overseas students were enrolled for the first time. With the establishment in 1986 of a dedicated international office, which focused solely on the needs of its overseas students, Canning College was positioned as a pioneer and leader in international education.
Aside from our excellent academic offerings, Canning College is also recognised for its exceptional student support services. The Canning College Library is a quiet, relaxed environment where you can study and relax. The Library includes areas for quiet independent study, group and tutorial work, and a reading lounge for relaxation.
Students have access to a fully equipped Gymnasium with rowing machines, exercise bikes, weight machines and other equipment, as well as a Recreation Centre where several sporting activities take place, including badminton, volleyball, basketball, football and table tennis. This service may be restricted, depending on the number of onshore students.
