History
Since the first of January, 2020, Cergy-Pontoise University and EISTI have merged under a new name: CY, Cergy Paris Université. Located in Greater Paris and in Pau, CY Tech is primarily an Engineering Graduate School. It has earned the “Grande Ecole” status, the highest recognition stated by the French Ministry of Higher Education & Research.
Education
Accessible after the completion of a secondary education diploma or through a dedicated post-secondary preparatory class, CY TECH delivers a Master’s degree in these four fields: Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology & Chemistry.
CY Tech course offer is structured in the following manner:
- A five-year Grande Ecole Engineering program;
- Post-secondary preparatory classes leading to Grande Ecole program enrollment;
- Undergraduate & Graduate Programs;
- Continuous training programs: Specialized Postgraduate Master’s;
- International Master’s with campuses located out of France;
- PHD programs.
Research
Research and technology transfer are at the heart of the dynamics of CY Tech, whose missions contribute to the appropriation of scientific knowledge. CY Tech asserts its vision and pursues an active policy in technology transfer innovation of its research activities, conducted by recognized full-time researchers within its fourteen laboratories and five Open Labs in modeling and experimental Sciences.
Career
Our Bachelor’s degree in Data Science by Design can be directly applied to work in a wide range of services and international-oriented departments in such positions as Security Manager, Data Analyst, Data scientist, Data Architect, Business Intelligence Developer.
Our Master’s course in Big Data offers our international students numerous job opportunities –in areas linked to decision support- such as Data Scientists, Consulting Engineers, Research and Development Experts, Tool Design Engineers, BI/Business Analytics Solutions Providers, or simply Users of Business Intelligence tools. Graduates who wish to specialize in the area of research can start a career in both public and private research centers.

I like the international policy of this university which is open and accessible to all international students. I especially like the importance that the university gives to the development of scientific research.
Engineering school in applied mathematics
I really enjoy my applied mathematics engineering school for several reasons. First and foremost, I've always been passionate about math and computer science, and this program provides the perfect blend of both. The curriculum delves deep into theoretical concepts while also offering plenty of opportunities to apply that knowledge in practical ways. Moreover, I find that this program is really helping me develop my abilities. It's challenging, of course, but that's what I like about it. I'm constantly being pushed to think critically, solve complex problems, and approach challenges from different angles. I feel like I'm becoming a more well-rounded and capable individual thanks to this program.
A Solid Foundation in Engineering and Technology a
CY TECH in France offers a comprehensive curriculum in engineering and technology, providing a good mix of theoretical learning and hands-on experience. The school’s programs cover a range of technical skills, and students benefit from various resources, including modern labs and collaborative workspaces. Professors are generally knowledgeable and dedicated, which enhances the learning experience. While there is room for improvement in certain administrative areas, overall, CY TECH provides a solid foundation for students looking to pursue careers in engineering and technology.

The International Relations Department offers personalized and individualized assistance to the attention of all international students who want to join one of our English-speaking programs. The Student Association of the Bureau des Etudiants Internationaux (BDI) works in collaboration with the International Relations Department in order to welcome you and integrate you in the best conditions.
Housing services
Four university residences and private housing facilities. Here below, an example of what we offer:
Jean Baptiste de La Salle hall of residence: This hall offers 50 rooms to students.- 450m away from CY Tech. Internet access, lounge with cable TV (Canal +), fitness area, secure entrance, launderette, bike parking.
- Min. duration of rent: 10 months, 1st of Sept to 30th of June
- 5-room studios, fully fitted: starting from 399€, including fixed rental costs which depend on the type of flat, location and availability.
Library services
Four libraries with over 2 million publications.
ICT services
Computer are loaned to our international students registered in our Bachelor in Data Science by Design or in our Master in Big Data for the academic year. Internet access is offered on Campus for free.
Medical services
Student healthcare services are available at CY Cergy Paris Université, a 5-minute walk from the CY TECH Campus. This service is free of charge for students.
Campus life
The Paris Region has much to offer to international students, such as history, art, culture on top of its academic & scientific excellence. It is a unique place to learn, discover, study, engage and exchange, a place where dialogue, fraternity, freedom and creativity will always prevail. Paris has been listed in the QS best student cities ranking for many years. At only 25 minutes from the world famous Les Champs Elysées, or La Défense (one of the major futuristic skyscraper packed, business districts in Europe) stands the cities of Saint-Germain-en-Laye (Bachelor’s Degree) and Cergy-Pontoise (Master’s Degree).
