Education
There is a course at the International Study Centre to suit everyone's interests and career ambitions. Programmes are provided by Study Group in collaboration with the University of Huddersfield. From bachelor's to master's preparation, our courses are designed to help you meet the academic and English language requirements you need to study at the University of Huddersfield. With small classes and dedicated teaching and support, we will help you adjust to studying in the UK.
Once you successfully complete your programme at the International Study Centre and achieve the required grades, you can enter your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
Career
Career-focused degrees, many offering internships and work placements, will equip you with real world skills to prepare you for a career after graduation. Huddersfield is one of the top ten providers of work placement courses in the UK (Higher Education Statistics Agency, 2013/14), with over 2,000 students completing work placements at British and international businesses every year. The University also has two specialist advisers for international students as part of its Careers and Employability Service and was awarded a QS 5 Star rating for Employability in 2015.

Most of Huddersfield’s student accommodation is located ten minutes or less from the University campus and the International Study Centre. All of the options come with private bedrooms and many with en-suite bathrooms. Features may also include:

Library services
With access to millions of books, journal articles, databases and media items, the University library will be an important tool for your success at Huddersfield. Open seven days a week and staffed with friendly, knowledgeable employees, the library will always be accessible to you. Study spaces are available to fit your working style, too - whether that’s quietly and alone, or collaboratively. The library is spread out over five floors with over 400,000 books in print alone.
Campus life
Huddersfield is a historic market town close to beautiful countryside and exciting big cities. Home to 20,000 students, the town has a thriving student community. Whether you want to hang out with friends at a local café or go to live music venues and the local theatre, you’ll find plenty of things to do in Huddersfield.
Student clubs
You won’t be short of activities to do at Huddersfield. There are over 100 clubs and societies on campus to choose from, including everything from salsa dancing and drama club to American Football and Wing Chun Kung Fu.

The goal of the Students’ Union is to make your life better. Make your voice heard when it comes to important issues and complaints that affect you. Get involved! You could even stand for election if you’d like. The Students’ Union also works with local and national charities and organisations. This means you’ll have the chance to learn new skills, meet new people, gain real world experience, and have a bit of volunteer work to put on your CV.
