Marshall's  campus mixes the old and new, from the new facilities, like the Memorial Student Center, to the many offices and services contained in Old Main, the oldest building on campus.

Marshall is dedicated to providing you with the best facilities possible. We have invested $300 million in new buildings and renovations to existing ones in the last 10 years.

Two stunning new buildings opened recently — the College of Information Technology and Engineering and the Visual Arts center. The $56 million engineering complex has high-tech features for the growing Engineering program while the downtown Visual Arts center provides an ultra-modern space that boasts the latest technology in Visual Arts.

There are plenty of opportunities to become a part of Marshall University sports and cheer on the Thundering Herd! Attendance to all sporting events is free with your student ID. You can watch our student athletes participate in 15 different NCAA sports, participate in a club sport that takes part in national and regional tournaments, or stay active in our 11,400-square-meter recreation facility with a swimming pool, walking track, fitness equipment and classes.

Whatever your interest, you'll find something you enjoy at Marshall. There are over 200 clubs and organizations for students. Student organizations are a great way to meet new friends and get involved on campus while enjoying something you love.
