Rzeszow University of Technology’s history dates from 1951, when the Engineering School was opened following the initiative of the employees of Rzeszow PZL factory, organised into the Association of Polish Engineers and Technicians. Mechanical engineers were educated in evening classes to support operations at PZL, a communications equipment maker.

The Rzeszów University of Technology campus includes 7 students’ hostels: Akapit, Alchemik, Arcus, Ikar, Nestor, Pingwin and Promie´n, providing accommodation for ca. 2.5 thousands of students.
The Library has the largest technical book collection in Eastern Malopolska, comprising 150,000 books, 200,000 technical standards, catalogues, certificates, etc.; 34,000 magazines, and 12,500 online periodicals. There is an extensive collection of literature covering: Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science.
Polish students are provided with free medical care. Foreign students, including Sokrates/Erasmus Programme students, have to take out an insurance Policy valid all over Poland (European Health Insurance Card). If not, all the health care costs are covered by the student.
The Campus in Rzeszów, as well as having lecture rooms and administrative offices, has many specialised IT and Language Laboratories, a professional TV and Radio Recording Studio, Read & Relax Room, the IQ Academic Club with exhibition space and stage.
The Association (KU AZS) was established in 1963 and its aim is to promote physical fitness and provide access to sport and recreation on campus. Students can now participate in the following:
Student Self-Government represents students’ interests before the university authorities and prevents the violation of university regulations. It acts to advocate students’ interests.
The UITM Graduates’ Club integrates alumni of the University of Information Technology and Management. By supporting graduates’ initiatives, it strengthens ties between the University and its graduates, assists in students` professional development, and furthers their business ideas.
Before I came to university, I checked and I know that there is a high level of education at the university. Studies at the Rzeszów University of Technology are also an opportunity to develop my interests and the chance to conduct many projects related to architecture .
It is a good place to study, with a lot of students. Especially Aviation is great choice.
Most of the classes were meetings with the teacher. The methods vary according with the teacher, I like some better than others. Try to travel as many as you can on your first month there. Despite you don't know that many people yet, is when you have most free time.
