History

Unicamp was officially founded on October 5, 1966, when the cornerstone was laid. Education

Unicamp is an independent and autonomous university in terms of its educational policies, but financially, the university is subordinated to the State Government of São Paulo that provides funds for its operation. Thus, financial resources are derived mainly from the State Government of Sao Paulo and also from national and international institutions that promove the development through education and research.

Research

The project to create Unicamp was a response to the growing demand for qualified personnel in a region of the country - the State of São Paulo - that by the 1960s accounted for 40% of Brazil's industrial capacity and 25% of its economically active population.

The vibe there is also very energetic and stimulating with lots of activities happening and opportunities for mind-opening conversation. It's a...

I really think that the University of Campinas is one of the greatest universities in the world. The university provides a campus with great facilities, equipped with innovative laboratories and technologies, such as the Thomson Laboratory of Mass Spectrometry. The institution's researches are internationally recognized, and students have the possibility to enter the research area since the fir...

So I could explore a lot of areas and interests, which aggregated a lot of experiences for my professional life and helped me engage in different student chapters/junior companies. In my opinion, UNICAMP is too focused on hard skills (technical) and I'd struggled a lot to develop by ...
