A Positive and Flexible Online Learning Experience
What I really like about studying online is the flexibility it gives me. Being able to learn at my own pace and revisit lessons when I need to has helped me understand the material more deeply. I also appreciate how supportive the tutors are — even though everything is virtual, they respond quickly, give helpful feedback, and make the learning environment feel personal. The online platform is easy to use, and having access to recordings, resources, and discussion forums has made it easier to stay on track. One thing that could be improved is the interaction side of online learning. Sometimes it’s harder to build connections with classmates or ask spontaneous questions the way you would in a physical classroom. More live sessions or group activities would make the experience feel even more engaging. Also, clearer advance notice for deadlines or schedule changes would help with planning my time better.
Practical & Multilingual Study at USUWL
I am currently pursuing a full-degree program in Translation and Interpreting (English and Chinese) at the Uzbekistan State University of World Languages (USUWL). This program has provided me with a comprehensive academic experience, combining linguistic theory with practical, real-world translation training. One of the most valuable aspects of the course is its emphasis on bilingual proficiency and intercultural competence. The curriculum is rigorous, covering areas such as consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, terminology management, and text analysis. In particular, the Chinese language component is intensive and intellectually stimulating, requiring a high level of discipline and active engagement. The faculty consists of knowledgeable and supportive professionals who continuously challenge students to strive for academic excellence. Additionally, the university offers access to modern learning resources, including well-equipped language labs and digital translation tools, which greatly enhance the overall educational experience. Beyond the classroom, there are numerous opportunities to participate in academic conferences, student forums, and cultural events that promote global awareness and professional development. Overall, this program has significantly contributed to my growth as an aspiring translator and interpreter. It has equipped me with both the theoretical foundation and the practical skills necessary to pursue a successful career in the field of international communication and translation.
Progress
Referring obtaining all university subjects which are related to my own field named 'Foreign Language and Literature' I had a really strong and efficient realtionship between my teachers. The one thing which is supposed to be improved is assessment system through whole semesters.
