History
LILA* was established in Liverpool in 2004 as an independent English language academy. Founded by two sisters, Leanne Linacre and Victoria Bligh, Leanne and Victoria started their careers teaching overseas. Upon their return to the UK, they felt that there was a need for more quality language schools in the north of England and Liverpool was the perfect choice of city.

Empowered Through Education
My study experience was both challenging and rewarding. I had the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable instructors, collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds, and engage in hands-on projects that deepened my understanding of the subject. It was a time of personal and academic growth. What did you really like about it? I especially appreciated the interactive teaching style and the support from faculty members who were genuinely invested in our success. The course content was relevant and up-to-date, and I loved the access to learning resources like workshops, labs, and study groups. Being part of a diverse academic community also enriched my perspective. What can be improved? While the experience was largely positive, I think there could be improvements in career support and internship placement services. More structured guidance for students navigating job markets would be helpful. Additionally, better integration of real-world industry trends into the curriculum would enhance the practical value of the program. How would you summarize your overall study experience? Overall, my study experience was transformative. It equipped me with valuable knowledge, critical thinking skills, and the confidence to pursue my goals.
