English Language Centre Bristol
- Public Institution Type
Established in 1969, ELC Bristol is a family-run English language school.
English Language Centre Bristol offers intensive General English courses and Examination Preparation courses for the IELTS and Cambridge exams.
With the focus on teaching General English and preparing students for internationally recognised examinations, we aim to provide high quality education in the English language by recruiting and retaining a team of experienced and qualified teachers and by being committed as a school to the progress and welfare of each individual student.
Students who would like help to find a job in the UK can join the ELC job club. There are group sessions for an hour after school on alternate Thursday afternoons. We also offer students some support on a 1:1 basis to give them personal guidance and to help fine tune their CVs or cover letters. The job club operates in 4-weekly cycles, 8 times a year.
Every class has a student class rep whose job is to help new students settle in by answering any questions they may have and also by showing them where everything is and how everything works. We have student reps in all of our residential student properties too.
As a Student at the English Language Centre Bristol, you are also able to join many of the university clubs and societies. This is a brilliant way to meet English students and of course practise your English!
There are more than 200 societies and 50 sports clubs to choose from.
Together with the ISIC Association and British Council IELTS, StudyPortals offers you the chance to receive up to £10000 to expand your horizon and study abroad. We want to ultimately encourage you to study abroad in order to experience and explore new countries, cultures and languages.
