UCT Prague was founded in 1952 but its origins date back to 1807 when the first course in chemistry was delivered at Prague Polytechnic. Reorganization of the polytechnic in 1920 resulted in the transformation of the chemistry department into the School of Chemical Technology, one of the seven sections of the Czech Technical University.
UCT Prague (in addition to departments accomodating the needs of the entire university) has four faculties:

My time at the University of Chemical Technology in Prague was a true miracle. From the moment I first stepped into the labs, I knew I was in the right place. The university offers a wide range of programs focused on chemistry and technology, which are not only theoretically but also practically oriented. What interested me the most was the opportunity to work on real projects that have an impact on the real world. One of my favorite experiences was being involved in a project focused on developing sustainable materials. Working in a team with colleagues from different countries was incredibly rewarding and taught me a lot about collaboration and innovation. The professors are not only experienced, but also very willing to help and support students in their career goals. The university also has a great location in the heart of Prague, which offers plenty of opportunities for cultural and social activities. Despite the fact that studying can be challenging, the atmosphere at the university is very friendly and supportive. Overall, I am glad that I chose this university, as it provided me not only with an excellent education, but also with many unforgettable experiences.
I am a civil engineer, but just as I have theoretical and practical experience in construction and construction, I confess that I do not have much experience with regard to chemical engineering, but it is an area that has always attracted my attention, especially to be able to use it to make a contribution to science and the petroleum industry
My university is one of the highest rated ones in the Czech Republic. While it is very demanding, it is also just as rewarding. The staff is great and students come from all over the world, making it a very diverse and unique experience.
