Over the last twelve years, the University has responded to changes in national educational policy, to demographic shifts, to a radically different economy and marketplace requirements, to emerging local and regional needs, and to new technologies.
The faculties functioning within the framework of UVT offer nationally accredited study programmes at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral level in the following subject areas: Arts and Design; Chemistry, Biology, Geography; Economics and Business Administration; Law; Letters, History and Theology; Mathematics and Computer Science; Music and Theater; Physical Education and Sports; Physics; Political Sciences, Philosophy and Communication Sciences; Sociology and Psychology.
On a yearly basis, West University of Timisoara implements over 100 research projects, out of which around more than 30% have a strong international dimension. Fostering a multi- and inter-disciplinary approach to higher education and research, with a clear focus towards the internationalization, WUT has over 380 bilateral agreements fostering exchanges in the Erasmus+ programme and over 180 other bilateral agreements with higher education institutions worldwide.

The campus is very big, a lot of nature and a lot of things to do in the free time. The future students should expect to find a really calm and welcoming place. Also, the housing conditions are very good and people in Romania are very friendly.
Great choice, excellent job opportunities afterwards. If I were to go back in time I'd make the exact same choice. Our department also provided job opportunities and networking events. All in all, the institution provided an exceptional education and prepared me well for the job market, making it easy to find employment after graduation.
The West University of Timisoara is a place where tradition meets modernity. The campus is lively, with historical buildings and modern study spaces. The library is huge and well-organized, and the professors are very accessible and dedicated. What I like most is the welcoming atmosphere and the diversity of the students. Timisoara is a beautiful city, with parks and cafes where you can study or relax after classes. The university organizes many cultural events and workshops, which provide excellent networking opportunities. It is a perfect environment to learn and develop both academically and personally.
