The Trust was established by Andrew Carnegie in 1901 and is registered as a Scottish charity, SCO15600. Andrew Carnegie wanted to improve and extend the opportunities for scientific research in the Scottish universities and to enable the deserving and qualified youth of Scotland to attend a university.
Although the educational scene in today’s Scotland bears little, if any, similarity to that at the beginning of the 20th century, Carnegie’s support of the needs of the Scottish universities and their students and staff remains as pertinent today as it was in 1901.
The Global Student Satisfaction Awards empower students across the globe to determine the best universities of 2021. Universities with a score above 4.0 (out of 5) in any of the 8 award categories, receive Badges of Excellence. Congratulations!
