The aim of the Translational Neuroscience programme at University of Würzburg is to train and to qualify the students in scientific workings in life sciences especially in neurosciences. Here, molecular principles and modular concept development to facilitate experimental and clinical research are main points of the programme. Our scientific education within “Translational Neuroscience“ procures to self-dependence and individual responsibility in scientific practice to enable the students to justice the requirements in scientific careers and society in the international context.

The degree Master of Science (Translational Neuroscience) allows the graduate to continue in a PhD Programme or a direct access into the employment market. One option at the University of Wuerzburg is a structured PhD programme of the Graduate School of Life Science in a neuroscience-class. Neuroscientists are able to work in a bright field of public research institutes (national/international universities) in different areas of science and teaching, in research-oriented institutes (e.g. Max-Planck-Institutes), in diagnostics, in drug development in pharmaceutical companies, or in marketing. Further possibilities do exist in public authorities.
