Overview
The Professional Accounting MSc program from Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University students can take advantage of the School’s extensive industry links with companies in Suzhou and Shanghai for their research and future careers, as well as the School’s own research centres.
Graduates of this programme will be able to obtain exemption qualifications (subject to professional review) for professional stage subjects of the Royal Chartered Accountants ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). After passing the exam and engaging in relevant work for three years, students will have the opportunity to obtain the Royal Chartered Accountant qualification. This programme also lays a solid foundation for students to obtain the Chartered Accountant qualification under ICAEW.
Career opportunities:
Graduates are able to sit for other professional accounting certification exams such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Many IBSS Professional Accounting graduates end up in the “Big Four” companies and accounting/consultant departments in multinational companies such as Apple and Decathlon.
The MSc Professional Accounting programme also provides an excellent foundation for those students who are interested in pursuing doctoral studies.
Accreditation
The programme is delivered in the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), one of an elite group of institutions worldwide to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS). Less than 100 business schools worldwide have both AACSB and EQUIS accreditation.
