Overview

The benefits of the Project Management programme at the University of Cape Town are increasingly being used to improve management performance in areas that were not previously thought of as project driven. 

Quick Facts:

• Whilst the Project Management Body of Knowledge and other important sources of theory form the corner-stones of the programme, much more material that is relevant to Southern African business practice has been “built in”.  
• This includes the socio-economic developmental principles that underlie the policies which have been incorporated into South African statute books and practice in recent years, particularly that relating to public sector projects.  However, the needs of the private sector are also considered.  Indeed, it is the private sector with its demands for improved project delivery that is responsible for the establishment and growth of Project Management.
