Overview

Dalhousie University offers the largest graduate program east of Montreal and the only PhD chemistry program in Nova Scotia. The department fosters a collegial atmosphere with extensive collaborations, and its excellence is reflected in research grants totalling about $2.1 million annually.

Students in the Master of Science in Chemistry programme engage in cutting-edge research across a wide range of chemistry disciplines, including analytical, environmental, inorganic, materials, organic, physical, and theoretical chemistry. Collaborating with dedicated faculty, postdoctoral researchers, undergraduate students, and technical support staff, you will undertake independent and innovative research under the guidance of a supervisor. You will pursue independent and original research guided by a supervisor to develop and defend your thesis.
