Overview
The Creative Leadership (Online) course at University of the Arts London (UAL) moves beyond traditional models, combining transformational, creative and practice-based learning with the flexibility to study part-time online around your commitments.
You’ll transition between big-picture global challenges and your own practice to build a well-rounded leadership approach, reflecting on power, privilege and representation. Through doing, reflecting and sharing with peers, you'll build confidence, experiment with new ideas and interrogate your leadership style. You'll design and deliver self-determined projects and real-world interventions that reflect your evolving leadership values and approaches.
You'll respond to today's changing world of work by developing critical, in-demand skills including creative thinking, resilience, empathy, collaboration and adaptability, while engaging with a diverse network of professionals and broadening your perspective through intercultural exchange.

Structure
The Creative Leadership MA is delivered fully online, part-time, with 3 entry points each year: January, May and September. You can also control your pace to graduation by taking breaks or opting for a Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert) or Postgraduate Diploma (PgDip) award.
PgCert (60 credits)
- Students wishing to complete a Postgraduate Certificate are required to complete the 2 mandatory introductory units only (2 x 30 credits). Studying the PgCert will take a minimum of 8 months and a maximum of 2 years 8 months.
PgDip (120 credits)
- To graduate with a Postgraduate Diploma, you must complete the 2 mandatory introduction units and your choice of 2 elective units (4 x 30 credits). Studying the PgDip will take a minimum of 1 year 4 months and a maximum of 3 years 4 months.
MA (180 credits)
- To achieve a Master of the Arts (MA) degree, you must complete all 6 units of this course: the two introductory units, all 3 elective units and the Final Project unit (all worth 30 credits each). Studying the MA will take a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 4 years.
Each unit is delivered over 14 weeks with a short break at the end of each unit.
