Overview

The first semester will consist of three compulsory study-units totalling to 30ECTS, while the second semester will also consist of three compulsory study-units, with a total credit value of 25ECTS.The remaining 5ECTS will be gained by choosing an elective study-unit of your choice that will be on offer (study-unit descriptions can be accessed through the Programme of Studies).

In the final semester, you carry out a research-based dissertation of 30ECTS.

Midwifery from University of Malta aims at enhancing your professional career as an autonomous practitioner, leader and change agent, midwifery manager, policy maker, clinical educator/academic and/or researcher.

If you would like to further your studies, may choose to enrol in a doctorate programme offered by the University of Malta or by a foreign institution abroad.
