Overview

The Specialist Community Practice (Top-up) degree at Manchester Metropolitan University is specifically designed for students that have successfully completed either the PGDip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing apprenticeship (school nursing or health visiting) the Specialist Community Nursing (District Nursing) apprenticeship. You’ll be eligible to complete an MSc Specialist Community Practice top-up award.

You’ll undertake independent research with periodic supervision, applying methodical approaches such as planning research steps, recording progress, conducting literature reviews, collecting data, and performing statistical analysis.

Already an NMC registered Level 1 Nurse and/or Midwife.

Already an NMC registered Specialist Practitioner in District Nursing or Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN).

Have completed the PgDip Community Nursing (District Nursing) or Specialist Community Public Health Nursing Apprenticeship at Manchester Met since Sept 2021 and gained 120 credits at level 7.
