Overview
In this Secondary Religious Education with QTS from Manchester Metropolitan University you’ll explore different curriculum models and how to approach the wide variety of topics with a range of learners. During sessions, you’ll explore a range of faiths and often make use of peer teaching where everyone can share their own knowledge and experiences.
Throughout the course, you’ll develop your subject knowledge and consider how to approach teaching topics in the classroom. In addition to specific religions, you’ll consider broader issues such as human rights and peace and conflict.

- You will normally have a minimum of a 2:2 undergraduate honours degree awarded by a UK university, or an equivalent higher education qualification. Your degree needs to support the subject knowledge requirements of the national curriculum for your subject. For exceptional candidates, particularly those with a higher-level degree or substantial relevant work experience in schools or relevant occupations we will consider applications from those who hold a 3rd class degree.
