Most graduates work as architects in private practice, though others work for local authorities, government organisations, commercial companies or contracting organisations, or for research agencies. Some graduates undertake research for higher degrees. Opportunities may also exist to work in Europe or overseas.

General requirements

You will normally have at least an upper second class undergraduate UK honours degree in architecture from a RIBA School.

A portfolio of work should be submitted with your application. We also require a personal statement and two references in support of your application, one from an academic from your previous institution, the other a reference or references from your current/previous employer(s) confirming your six months of practical experience.

Admission will normally be dependent on a successful application and possibly an interview.

Equivalent EU/international qualifications will also be considered.
