Key facts

The course at Warwick is very well established. You will be taught by a Drama educator with more than 25 years’ experience working in 11-16 schools, 11-18 schools and 6th form colleges. You will take part in a series of subject specific interactive workshops that will challenge you to integrate theoretical foundations with practical applications. Workshops will include an introduction to teaching Shakespeare in the classroom, devising skills at KS3 and 4, developing literacy in the drama classroom.
The course includes significant time in schools where you will be supported by a school-based mentor as you develop your practice creating lessons that are meaningful and relevant. Throughout your placements you will also receive support from the very experienced university-based team at Warwick enabling you to become a confident, creative, effective education professional. The PGCE Secondary with Drama (with QTS) programme is offered at University of Warwick.
