Materials Science and Engineering from Beihang University consists of four departments: department of materials science, department of materials physics and chemistry, department of materials processing engineering and automation, as well as department of polymer and composite.

The school has been undertaking a variety of projects funded by National Natural Science Foundation of china and National “973” and “863” projects. In the recent five years, more than 20 scientific and technological prizes of provincial and ministerial level have been achieved, which includes one first-class and two second-class National Invention Prizes. The school possesses four provincial and ministerial key laboratories, Beijing undergraduate teaching and experiment demonstration center, and two State Education ministry innovation teams.

General requirements

Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and Beihang University rules.
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport, under the age of 35 in general, and have a bachelor degree or have the equivalent educational background of a bachelor degree.
Requirements of English-Medium Programs: English Proficiency for applicants from Non-English Speaking Countries: 90 or above in TOEFL, 6 or above in IELTS,IIO or above in Duolingo, or a certificate from current college indicated language proficiency (ability to take courses in English).
Applicants should meet the conditions set by the Document No. 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC.
