Overview

Novel construction methods have made sustainable buildings possible, thus a future in valuations means ESG considerations will be part of the appraisal process if property owners and occupants are to benefit economically. Real Estate Management (Property Valuations) from University of Malta aims to introduce you to a range of concepts and techniques in valuing buildings, recognising which development reduces energy consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the real estate sector; implementing strategies to effectively address physical and transitional risks that could affect investment returns and decision-making.

A properly executed valuation will allow the you to understand the value of their immovable property whilst mitigating long-term risks if allowed to incorporate environmental strategies. You will appraise buildings according to international standards and local codes, whilst being able to define and apply an understanding of laws on property, civil code and all other matters related.

As a successful graduate, this course will aid you in your profession as an architect, civil or structural engineer.

A warrant as a Perit issued in accordance with the Periti Act, Chapter 622 of the Laws of Malta or

A qualification deemed by Senate, on the recommendation of the Board, to be equivalent to the qualification listed in (a) above.
