
Overview
Candidates undertake a research project under the direct supervision of a member of the academic staff. The work undertaken as part of this research degree must constitute a significant contribution to the knowledge and understanding of a field of study of direct concern to the faculty, and must demonstrate the capacity of the candidate to carry out independent research.
Outcomes
The Reproductive Sciences program at Monash University provides medical and health professionals with advanced theoretical understanding and research training in the applications of reproductive biology, including emerging biotechnologies, to clinical human and veterinary medicine.
Research may be undertaken in areas of human reproduction, animal reproduction, women's health, fetal and neonatal physiology, embryology, molecular and cellular endocrinology and reproductive toxicology.

You must, in consultation with and under the direct supervision of a member/s of the academic staff:
- carry out a program of research on an agreed topic approved by the faculty in your chosen discipline for a specified period, including attending and/or presenting at seminars and other related activities as indicated by the faculty
- submit for assessment a thesis of not more than 50,000 words on the program of research which meets the requirements of the examiners.
