Overview

The Environmental Monitoring, Modelling and Reconstruction programme offered at The University of Manchester explores how environments evolve over time and how we can use that knowledge to shape a more sustainable world.

In an era of climate change and environmental crisis, there’s a growing demand for specialists who can monitor, analyse and model natural systems. Governments, industries and research institutions all need professionals who can help predict and manage environmental change.

You’ll develop advanced theoretical knowledge, alongside practical expertise in collecting, interpreting, and analysing environmental data from both the present and the distant past.

We require a UK Honours degree with a First or Upper Second (2.1) classification or the overseas equivalent in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Geography or a related discipline.

Please submit the following documents with your completed application form:

copies of official degree certificates and transcripts of your previous study, showing the subjects taken and grades obtained. If these documents are in languages other than English, please provide official translations;

copies of English Language Certification, such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT or Pearson test score report, if available at the time of application;
